Chickens

For the last two years, I’ve longed to have a small flock of my own.  The boys have had some in the past, but I did not get attached because they weren’t MINE!

It’s been such a great experience and the joy these girls (and one Hercules) have brought far outweigh the work involved.  They’re hilarious.  Just look at their faces.  They’ve grown up way too quickly and so far, the teenage Hercules has been friendly.  I pray he stays that way.

This coming month I am speaking at Rainbow Gardens on Raising Chickens 101!  How I got pulled into that is still a mystery.  I honestly believe it’s because my Love built me such a darling Chicken Cottage (another post) and my fellow aquaponics guy said I should.  So I am.

I’ll be continuing my story about my girls and their adventures.
